My name is Jess. I am 29 years old. I am a special education teacher in Philadelphia. I am an identical twin; She got married this year! I recently moved out of our home that we bought together 5 years ago into a place of my own. I was so afraid to live alone. It is not so scary after all. I love my job, but it is not an easy job. Working out is one of my favorite things to do. I also enjoy cooking, hosting dinners, reading, listening to music, spending time with family and friends, watching television and movies; some I am proud to watch and some guilty pleasures, and I just like to live life to fullest. as much as the Virgo in me will always make plans, I really like to take life one day at a time.
I am interesting. All on my own.
In January 2019, my sister chose me to be her maid of honor for her wedding to the man of her dreams. This experience was one of the greatest of my life so far. One of the tasks for many maid of honors is the speech/toast given at the wedding. I spent almost a year thinking about what I would say. When it all came together it was a hit! I was so thrilled to hear so many guests at the wedding, and most importantly, the bride and groom, loved what I had to say. I believe this made it clear to me that maybe others would like to hear from me as well. I started creating the foundation for this blog shortly after my sister’s wedding day. If one person reads my blog and laughs, finds help they needed, or just finds enjoyment, then it is so worth it!
